There are slits in the form of lines, which we call fissures, on the chewing surfaces of permanent teeth. These fissures are sometimes deep towards the inner surface of the teeth and form easily decayed surfaces in the mouth. These surfaces can rot very easily despite proper nutrition and proper brushing.
